Inter Milan have announced the signing of Dutch defender Denzel Dumfries from Ajax for a fee of €15 million.
The 22-year-old centre-back joins Inter after helping Ajax win the Eredivisie title in the 2019-20 season, and he is expected to make an immediate impact at the San Siro.
Dumfries has been praised for his defensive work-rate and aerial ability, and he will be looking to add to Inter's impressive defensive record this season.
He arrives at the club just weeks after being linked with a move to Manchester United,La Liga Highlights but it seems that Inter were able to beat their rivals to his signature.
Dumfries' arrival is just one of several recent signings for Inter, who have also brought in midfielder Kevin de Bruyne and forward Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea and Manchester United respectively.
With a strong squad already in place, it looks like Inter will be a force to be reckoned with in Serie A this season.
